Brett Himbury : Chief ExecutiveMBA, Fellow (International Managers Organization) Brett is responsible for the leadership of IFM, the development and execution of the firm's strategy and the delivery of strong results for all stakeholders including clients, shareholders and staff. He is Chair of IFM's Investments and Strategy Committee. Brett's experience spans almost 30 years where he has held a range of leadership roles across the Funds Management and Financial Planning sectors, and with this diversity of experience brings a strong track record and unique insight to IFM.
Judith Smith : Head of Private EquityMAppFin, BEc (Hons), F Fin, Affiliate of the Association for Investment Management and Research Judith is responsible for the Private Equity Group, private equity product construction and fund raising, and management of private equity investments. She is also Deputy Chair of IFM's Investments and Strategy Committee and Chair of IFM's Risk Committee. Prior to joining IFM, Judith held various investment management roles, including an 11 year career at National Mutual Funds Management (NMFM) where she managed Australian equity portfolios including large capitalisation portfolios, specialist small company portfolios and various private equity investments. She then held the position of Equity Research Manager, Equity Strategist, Australia, managing the equity research team, undertaking research on the Australian equity market and recommending appropriate asset weightings. Judith was an NMFM representative on the board of Advent Management, the manager of the Advent venture capital funds. Before joining NMFM, Judith worked in the export industry as an investment analyst and at the then Colonial Mutual Life. Judith has been involved with private equity in the Australian market since 1990. She participates in a range of private equity fund advisory committees, both locally and offshore. Judith has been a member of the Australian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association Limited (AVCAL) Board since 2006.
Kyle Mangini : Global Head of InfrastructureBEc/Gov Kyle is responsible for managing all aspects of infrastructure investment management functions. Kyle is also a member of IFM's Investments and Strategy Committee and is the Chairman of IFM's Specialised Debt Committee. In addition to the Pacific Hydro Board, Kyle is a director of Ecogen Holdings (owner of the Newport and Jeeralang Power Stations) and Melbourne Airport.
Michael Hanna : Head of Infrastructure - AustraliaGDipAppFin, MSc, BSc, Senior Associate (Finsia), Member (AICD), Member (RTPI) Michael is responsible for evaluating, implementing and managing infrastructure investments in the Australian market and for managing the Melbourne team. Prior to joining IFM, Michael worked with the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance and was previously an Associate with global engineers Arup in both the UK and Australia. Michael represents IFM on the board of Interlink Roads.
Alec Montgomery : Head of Infrastructure - North AmericaMBA, BA Alec is responsible for managing IFM's US investment options. Alec is a seasoned project financier with over 15 years' experience in financing large infrastructure and commodity-based projects. Before becoming Head of Infrastructure Finance at the Royal Bank of Scotland in 2006, Alec was Managing Director, Head of Project Finance, at the Bank. He has also held senior positions with Credit Agricole Indosuez (New York); Deutsche Banc Alex Brown (New York); and Union Bank of Switzerland (New York and Zurich).
Christian Seymour : Head of Infrastructure - UK and EuropeMComLaw, MBA, BE (Hons) Christian is responsible for the business expansion in Europe and oversight of IFM’s existing European asset portfolio. Christian is located at IFM’s London office. Christian has a background in energy marketing, project development, project management and technical engineering management for energy and related infrastructure developments. Spanning a period of 18 years, Christian has worked for companies such as Duke Energy, Santos, BHP Billiton, Bechtel and Woodside on medium to large-scale projects, having successfully led multi-disciplinary project teams, including marketing, legal, technical, financial analysis and construction, to completion. Robin Miller : Executive Director - Debt InvestmentsPhD, BSc (Hons), Fellow (Finsia) Robin is responsible for the creation and management of debt based portfolios and investment staff. Robin’s career started in the mining industry in 1975, moving into finance in 1986 when he joined National Australia Bank (NAB) group as an analyst. Within NAB he had many roles in credit analysis and lending (both corporate and project finance) as well as in credit control and risk management. In 1998 he moved across to one of NAB’s funds management businesses, National Asset Management (NAM), specifically to take credit risk skills into their fixed interest team. Subsequent to their acquisition of MLC, NAB decided to close NAM in 2001 and Robin transferred this team and the pure credit risk portfolios to AMP Capital Investors. Robin joined ME Bank in 2005 and the subsequent integration into IFM saw Robin assume leadership of the Debt Investments team.
Aidan Puddy : Executive Director - Listed EquitiesCFA, MAppFin, GradDipAppFin, BEc Aidan is responsible for developing and managing IFM's indexed and enhanced indexed portfolio management capability. His experience in funds management dates back to 1993 with National Mutual Funds Management. Aidan then worked at County Investment Management where he started managing indexed and enhanced indexed portfolios in 1998. Aidan spent over eight years at County where he also had responsibilities for balanced portfolios, quantitative strategies and portfolios, dealing, and an active manager of manager international equities fund. Aidan has also held roles at Merrill Lynch Asset Management and the Myer Family Office as a fundamental analyst and quantitative analyst.
Clyde Haldane : Executive Director - Listed EquitiesBE (Mechanical) (Hons First Class) Clyde has developed and implemented IFM's new active listed equities initiative and is responsible for the IFM Strategic Australian Equities Fund. His experience in funds management dates back to 1990 with County NatWest Australia Investment Management. After seven years within the broader County NatWest Group, Clyde became a founding partner of Portfolio Partners Limited where he was Head of Balanced Funds for six years. He also had Australian equities research responsibilities in the engineering, diversified industrials, utilities and infrastructure, banking and finance, property trusts and diversified resource sectors. Prior to joining IFM, Clyde managed a number of investment portfolios for family owned private investment companies and foundations.
Joshua Lim : Executive Director - CommercialLLB (Hons), BCom, CA Joshua is responsible for managing all aspects of the Commercial Group which encompasses structuring and execution of transactions, product design, risk and compliance. He is a member of IFM's Investments and Strategy Committee and IFM's Risk Committee. Joshua has over 14 years of experience in legal, commercial and tax experience gained at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Allens Arthur Robinson and Blake Dawson. His previous roles include advising on merger and acquisitions, restructures, tax, funds management and equity raisings.
Eddy Schipper : Executive Director - Business DevelopmentPGradDipFin, BBus(Fin) Eddy is responsible for business development at IFM. Eddy has extensive experience in business development. Prior to joining IFM, Eddy was Head of Institutional Business Development at Colonial First State Global Asset Management. His main responsibilities were business development, deal origination across the institutional market and developing institutional sales and asset consultant relationships in Australia and New Zealand. Previously Eddy was employed by HSBC Asset Management where he held the position of Senior Client Investment Services Manager before joining Commonwealth Investment Management / Colonial First State in 2002.
Philip Dowman : Executive Director - Finance and OperationsBBS (Hons), CA Philip manages IFM’s investment accounting administration, compliance, IT and treasury management. Before immigrating to Australia, Philip spent 14 years working in New Zealand in various senior finance and planning roles with Wrightson Limited, Trust Bank of NZ, and Toyota (NZ). In Australia he has worked with the ANZ Bank in a Group Strategy role and was Head of ANZ Custodian Services.
