IFM’s global team of infrastructure professionals is deeply experienced in private sector investment in infrastructure. Team members bring experience as senior industry managers, finance professionals and policy makers. They have investment, operational, financial, regulatory and portfolio management expertise – with a track record of managing assets through business cycles, management transitions and regulatory reviews. They are supported by in-house legal and tax experts. The team is culturally diverse and speaks over sixteen languages, illustrating the significant internal diversity needed to manage a global investment program.

Kyle Mangini

Global Head of Infrastructure
Joined IFM in May 2007

Kyle is responsible for IFM’s global infrastructure programme including the firm’s Australian and international infrastructure funds. Prior to joining IFM, Kyle had over 20 years of investment banking experience focused primarily in the infrastructure sector. Past roles include senior positions with Credit Suisse First Boston and SBC Warburg in the United States, Asia and Australia. Kyle represents IFM as a director on the boards of Melbourne Airport and Pacific Hydro. Previously he was a director of Essential Power, NT Airports, Brisbane Airport and Ecogen.

Michael Hanna

Head of Infrastructure – Australia
Joined IFM in July 2006

Michael is responsible for evaluating, implementing and managing infrastructure investments in the Australian market and for managing the Melbourne Infrastructure team. Prior to joining IFM, Michael worked for the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance, responsible for managing the State’s risk exposure in the public transport, roads, urban development, and ports and logistics sectors. His transaction experience includes negotiating the sale of almost $1 billion of the State’s interests in City Link Concession Notes with Transurban to finance two major road network upgrades, and the refranchising of the Melbourne metropolitan train and tram contracts in 2004. Previously, Michael was an Associate with global engineers Arup in both the UK and Australia, and was involved in managing planning, funding and implementation issues for major rail and inland waterways infrastructure, tourism and leisure investments, major industrial land banks and telecommunications infrastructure. Michael represents IFM on the boards of Interlink Roads, Ecogen Energy and Airport Motorway Group.

Julio Garcia

Mr Garcia joined us in January 2008. Prior to joining IFM, Mr Garcia was a Principal at Viant Group in San Francisco for five years. Previously, he also held positions with Bank of America, Robertson Stephens and Gemini Consulting. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts (Public Policy) from Stanford University and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Quentin Law

Executive Director

Quentin has over 20 years investment banking and corporate advisory experience and has advised on transactions across a range of industries. He has experience in all forms of infrastructure, utility and transport assets, including electricity and gas transmission and distribution, electricity generation, airports, seaports, toll roads, telecommunications and PPPs. Prior to joining IFM, Quentin was Managing Director at Orrong Advisory, a corporate advisory practice focused on infrastructure with a clientele that included leading institutions and corporations in Australia and offshore. His previous roles included Director at Citigroup Investment Banking, Associate Director at NM Rothschild & Sons and Director at Ernst & Young M&A and Arthur Andersen Corporate Finance.

Michael Thompson

Michael is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing new domestic and international infrastructure investments as well as managing existing investments within the Australian infrastructure portfolio. Michael accepted a secondment to IFM’s New York office in August 2008 and returned to Melbourne in December 2011. Prior to joining IFM, Michael was employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers as Director and Head of Energy Mergers & Acquisitions in the corporate advisory arm. Previous to PwC, Michael was a Director in the Specialised Capital Group (equity underwriting and funds management arm) at Westpac Banking Corporation in Melbourne, focusing on originating and executing equity investments in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Michael has also held senior energy and infrastructure investment banking roles at Citigroup and Merrill Lynch. He previously represented IFM on the boards of Essential Power and Colonial Pipeline Company.

Adrian Croft

Investment Director

Adrian’s responsibilities include assisting in the management of existing domestic IFM Infrastructure Group products and new domestic infrastructure products. He also assists the Group in the sourcing and evaluation of domestic and international investment opportunities, development of an acquisition strategy for allocated infrastructure sectors, preparation of investment proposals/reviews, completion of transactions, monitoring and reporting on investments and divestments, and assumed operational responsibility for the management and analysis of allocated investments within Group products. Prior to IFM, Adrian was employed with Credit Suisse (formerly Credit Suisse First Boston - CSFB) since 1998 and prior to that period, he held the position of Vice President, Leveraged Finance, Credit Suisse (Tokyo office) where he managed all aspects of arranging leveraged and structured financings for corporate and private equity clients. Adrian also worked in the New York and Melbourne offices of CSFB prior to his appointment to the Tokyo office. He represents IFM on the board of NT Airports.

Danny Elia

Danny drives the asset management strategy of IFM’s Australian and global infrastructure funds. Danny has wide industry and senior management experience across a range of infrastructure sectors. He previously worked as the Director of the SA Health Partnership, the single purpose vehicle established by Leighton Contractors, Spotless and Hansen Yuncken to deliver the New Royal Adelaide Hospital PPP. Prior to this, Danny held a number of senior management roles including General Manager, CityLink and Victoria for Transurban Group; CFO, COO and Company Secretary for Axiom Energy Limited; Finance Director of Logistics for Linfox Asia Pacific; and Finance Director and Company Secretary for General Mills.

Michael Landman

Michael is responsible for evaluating, executing and managing infrastructure investments. Prior to joining IFM, Michael was involved with industrial research and development, oil and gas exploration, field development, engineering and planning, and strategy development and execution at BHP Billiton. Michael also led a number of oil and gas asset transactions on behalf of BHP Billiton as Manager, Acquisitions and Divestments. He represents IFM on the boards of Regional Wind Farms, Ecogen Energy (alternate), Airport Motorway Group (Alternate) and Interlink Roads (Alternate). Michael was formerly a director of Surat Basin Rail.

Marigold Look

Marigold is responsible for providing analytical, financial modelling, research and due diligence support to the infrastructure team. She was previously employed with Wilson HTM as an Industrial Equities Analyst, having previously been in the Corporate Finance division of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Marigold represents IFM on the boards of Axiom Education and Wyuna Water (Alternate).

Janice Morris

Janice is responsible for investment due diligence and asset management for the IFM Infrastructure Group. She previously worked with Ernst & Young (Melbourne) in Assurance and Advisory Business (audit) and was with Ernst & Young (London) in Transaction Advisory Services. Janice represents IFM on the board of Perth CBD Courts.

Jill Rossouw

Joined IFM in October 2004

Jill is responsible for reviewing and managing infrastructure investments, including board directorships. Her role also involves the ongoing management and monitoring of investments in the Australian airport and residential aged care sectors. Jill has 18 years’ project finance advisory, corporate finance and private equity experience, including Associate Director with the PricewaterhouseCoopers Project Finance group where she was responsible for advising on business divestments and infrastructure projects at various stages in the procurement cycle. Prior to this period, Jill worked in GE Capital’s private equity arm where she gained experience in the evaluation, due diligence, investment and reporting in relation to investee companies. Jill represents IFM on the boards of IFM Aged Care, Brisbane Airport, Southern Cross Station, Defence HQ and AssetCo. She was formerly a director of the Airport Development Group.

Manish Rastogi

Manish is responsible for transaction execution, research and preparation of investment strategies. Prior to joining IFM, Manish was employed as a Senior Associate, Corporate Finance Advisory, with O'Sullivan Partners (now Lazard Australia) in Sydney, working on merger and acquisition opportunities (M&A) in retail, TMT and infrastructure sectors. Manish has worked previously for Lehman Brothers in the UK in the Telecoms and Media M&A team. Manish has also held senior roles in wireless communications with Singapore Telecom Optus and Cable and Wireless Optus.
