IFM’s global team of infrastructure professionals is deeply experienced in private sector investment in infrastructure. Team members bring experience as senior industry managers, finance professionals and policy makers. They have investment, operational, financial, regulatory and portfolio management expertise – with a track record of managing assets through business cycles, management transitions and regulatory reviews. They are supported by in-house legal and tax experts. The team is culturally diverse and speaks over sixteen languages, illustrating the significant internal diversity needed to manage a global investment program.

Alec Montgomery

Head of Infrastructure – North America
Joined IFM in October 2008

Alec is responsible for IFM’s infrastructure investment business in North America and managing the New York team. He joined IFM after 15 years of banking experience focused on project and infrastructure finance. Most recently he was the head of the infrastructure finance business at the Royal Bank of Scotland in New York. Prior to RBS, he served in senior positions with Credit Agricole Indosuez (New York), Deutsche Bank (New York), and the Union Bank of Switzerland (in New York and Zurich). Before he was a banker, Alec worked in real estate development and provided econometric consulting services to electric utilities. He represents IFM on the board of Essential Power.

Tom Osborne

Tom is responsible for the origination, analysis, structuring and execution of IFM's global infrastructure investments. Prior to joining IFM, Tom was Head of Americas - Infrastructure in the Investment Banking Division of UBS. In this role, Tom was the founding group head of the Americas Infrastructure advisory practice and had responsibility for strategic advisory, M&A, lending and capital markets financing for major investors. At UBS, he also held the roles of Co-Head of US Infrastructure and Managing Director - Power and Utilities. Previously, Tom worked as Director in the Power and Utilities Group at Credit Suisse First Boston and as a First Vice President - Utilities Group at PaineWebber Incorporated.

Lars Bespolka

Investment Director
Joined IFM in February 2008

Lars is responsible for the analysis, structuring and execution of fund investments as well as the ongoing management of assets. Lars joined IFM after a 15 year career as an investment banker at Credit Suisse, where he covered the energy and utilities sectors, amongst others, and worked in their New York, Melbourne, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore offices. As group head of Credit Suisse’s power and project finance group in Asia-Pacific, he was responsible for a wide range of transactions, including M&A, bank and capital market financings, equity capital raisings, restructurings and structured deals. Lars currently represents IFM on the boards of Essential Power and Eurogrid International (the holding company of 50Hertz Transmission). He has also played critical roles transitioning new investments for IFM’s Global Infrastructure Fund, including acting as the interim CFO for Essential Power in 2008 and 50Hertz Transmission in 2010.

Jamie Cemm

Investment Director

Jamie’s responsibilities include assisting in the management of existing IFM Infrastructure Group products and new infrastructure products. He also assists the Group in the sourcing and evaluation of investment opportunities, development of an acquisition strategy for allocated infrastructure sectors, preparation of investment proposals/reviews, completion of transactions, monitoring and reporting on investments and divestments, and assuming operational responsibility for the management and analysis of allocated investments within Group products. Previously, Jamie worked with Macquarie Capital Funds for five years (Sydney, London and New York) as an Asset Manager focusing on the acquisition, development and management of new and existing assets within the European, North and Latin American portfolios. Prior to Macquarie, Jamie spent approximately seven years in commercial management roles within the construction industry, focusing on the delivery of civil, mining and industrial projects throughout Australia. Jamie represents IFM on the board of Colonial Pipeline.

Anthony Edwards

Investment Director
Joined IFM in July 2011

Anthony is responsible for the origination, analysis, structuring and execution of fund investments. Additionally Anthony is responsible for the ongoing management of assets within IFM’s existing portfolio. Prior to joining IFM, Anthony was a Senior Vice President at The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) for 11 years in both Europe and North America where he was responsible for advisory and debt transactions across a wide range of infrastructure sectors including toll roads, rail and logistics, social infrastructure, gas storage, ports and parking. Prior to RBS Anthony spent five years with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Anthony represents IFM on the board of Duquesne Light Holdings.

Brooks Kaufman

Investment Director
Joined IFM in August 2010

Brooks is responsible for assisting in managing existing IFM US Group products and new products; assisting in the sourcing and evaluation of domestic and international investment opportunities, preparing investment proposals/reviews, compiling transactions; and monitoring and reporting on investments and divestments. Prior to joining IFM, Brooks was Vice President - Finance with Soltage (New Jersey), a renewable energy company which develops and operates solar energy assets on client structures across the USA. From 2004-2009, Brooks held the position of Vice President - Global Corporate Investment Banking, Energy and Power, with Banc of America Securities (New York), and was Vice President - Investment Banking at Fieldstone Private Capital Group (New York). From 1995 to 2003, he worked with Mirant Corporation, formerly Southern Energy, Inc, (Atlanta) in the position of Finance Manager in Corporate Treasury and Business Development. Brooks represents IFM on the board of Duquesne Light Holdings.

IFM’s institutional Business Development team brings deep investment knowledge derived from specialisations in infrastructure, funds management, investment consulting, private equity and private banking.

Brian Clarke

Executive Director – Business Development (North America)
Joined IFM in February 2011

Brian joined IFM to manage the Firm's business development, fundraising and client relationship efforts in North America. Prior to joining IFM, Brian was Senior Managing Director, Head of Sales in North America, with Macquarie Capital USA. He has also held the position of Senior Vice President, Head of Sales at Refco Alternative Investments, President and Founder of Cornerstone Partners, LLC, Vice President for Advancement and Secretary to the Board of St Mary's College of Maryland as well as President of St Mary's College of Maryland Foundation, Inc.

Rena Pulido

Director – Business Development (North America)
Joined IFM in April 2012

Rena previously worked at Ares Management LLC as Principle, Investor Relations, where she was responsible for developing and executing the first formal investor relations program. Prior to Ares, Rena was a managing director with Macquarie Capital USA where she was responsible for the cross-border legal and tax structuring for the real estate funds in North America and Europe.

Jojo Granoff

Director – Investor Relations (US and Europe)
Joined IFM in March 2010

Jojo is responsible for client services and investor relations for IFM in the US and UK. Jojo joined IFM from Lehman Brothers, where she was Head of Investor Relations for Lehman’s Private Equity business. Jojo has also held positions in the Capital Markets group at Trust Company of the West.

Hillary Ripley

Vice President – Business Development (North America)
Joined IFM in April 2012

Hillary previously worked as Director of Investor Relations at J.C.Flowers & Co where she was responsible for building and directing an Investor Relations platform. She has also worked as a Relationship Manager at Fortress Investment Group and as Investment Officer/Marketing Officer at Bassini Playfair Wright.
